Sometimes you come across a photographer who doesn’t deserve Image of the Week. Laura A.Watt is one of these artists. She deserves a full feature on her images. Laura has been taking photos since she was young. “It has become a reflex,” she says. “But recently, I feel I’m trying to find or reveal a moment, rather than a particular subject – the feeling of being there, rather than simply showing a scene.”
Laura is drawn to patterns and textures, and her photography is driven by her desire to “see the world in slightly different ways than it’s been seen before – and there is just such an amazing abundance of gorgeousness in the natural world.”
Although she doesn’t consider herself a nature photographer, the moments revealed in Laura’s photography bring the viewer closer to finding a poised beauty in the plants we surround ourselves with. There are far too many to feature in just one post, so do visit her work here.
