Hoorah for March turning up on our doorstep, fresh faced and full of beans. Now’s the time to sow your shallots indoors. Space about 5cm apart or grow in toilet roll tubes. Plant out in April after hardening off, and you’ll have clumps of the lovely, miniature onions ready by June or July. Yum.
