When I was at university, one of my housemates predicted that when I was older, I would be the sort of woman who owned a collection of teapots. I remember being mildly offended by this at the time, but even so, the evil day has come, and much sooner than either of us expected. I now own five teapots, and I’m only 23 years old. In fact, I don’t even drink caffeine.
Fortunately, there is someone in our house who does, which means there are always plenty of pots of cold tea standing around. And cold tea is a perfect fertiliser. I just pour the whole lot over my seedlings and salad plants as a great source of nitrogen (this encourages leafy growth). No need to dilute at all, and the teabags should provide another two pots of cold tea for the plants as well.
