…these fabulous tomatoes from Victoriana Nursery. On the left, we have ‘Zapotec Pleated‘, an extraordinarily shaped fruit which is huge and perfect for cooking. This is one of the most striking tomatoes you can grow, and was the subject of Susy Morris’ winning entry in our photography competition earlier this year. And in the right corner is ‘Purple Calabash‘, a rare heirloom cultivar which has one of the best flavours out there. Don’t be put off by the deep colour: this tomato tastes a bit like Merlot, which makes it a complete winner.
