This month we’re giving away something that’s almost priceless. It’s a handmade gift, lovingly crafted by a mother for her baby. And it’s all about gardening. As she started to teach her young son Jackson about the delights of homegrown vegetables, Gillian Carson was inspired to write and illustrate her own children’s book to help him learn to grow his own.
Now she’s decided to share her beautiful little board book, Jackson’s Garden, with other gardening mummies, and has self-published the book. And this month, one very lucky F&F reader will win a copy of Jackson’s Garden.
Jackson’s Garden is an incredibly sweet hand-illustrated book for young children. It follows superstar gardener Jackson as he grows his own vegetables from seed and makes friends with a rather tricky visitor to his garden, Mr Snail. It’s a kind, whimsical little story which comes beautifully packed with fake straw, and a packet of free seeds (for readers in Europe) or a sheet of stickers (for anyone outside the EU).
You can buy a copy of Jackson’s Garden here. But if you want to bag a copy in our June giveaway, all you need to do is answer this question:
How many pages does Jackson’s Garden have? (Tip: the Jackson’s Garden Etsy page might help you with the answer)
Email your answer to competitions@fennelandfern.co.uk by midnight, 12 July. We’ll pick a winner at random.
