While many people will be familiar with the use of calla lilies or tulips swirled around the sides of a fish-bowl vase, I decided to explore a variety of flowers and textures using a limited colour palette to unify the design.
This combination includes pink Gypsophila, Ladies Mantle (Alchemilla mollis) green Eryngium, purple Hydrangea and Alliums. Despite the use of traditional, or indeed old-fashioned flowers such as Gypsophila, the effect is quite contemporary.
Hi Ken,
These are truly striking and so unique from other designs – If I wanted to try this sort of thing with a bright orange flower which plant would you suggest??

Love it! How did you make the Gypsophila behave instead of falling about all over the place? Is it in oasis?
