Did you know that you could eat lime leaves? Though your own salad patch might look a little sparse at present, if you’re close to a lime (Tilia cordata) which isn’t too close to a road, then you can pick plenty of its young leaves now to sprinkle in salads.
You should always wash your salad leaves, but this is especially important with limes as they tend to be a little sticky. Once in the salad, they add a gorgeous sweet, soft note.
