Back for the third year, our photography competition is bigger and better, and even more exciting than ever. Every year we get more and more stunning pictures entered into our competitions and challenges, and this year promises to be even more spectacular.
The winner of the children’s category will win a growing set from Suttons, which includes: 3 packs of flower seeds (a flowering mix, giant sunflowers and pansies), a giant pumpkin competition pack, a grow your own pet food pack, a trowel, a funky bucket, a fork, a pair of gloves and plant markers.
The overall winner of the whole competition, who will win the most votes from readers, will also win a £50 voucher for Gardening Express and a growing pack from Suttons which will include: 10 packets of assorted flower seeds, 10 packets of vegetable seeds, a set of knee pads for the garden, a Jiffy plug plant propagator, 36 biodegradable Jiffy pots, a classic daisy weeder, and a garden scoop for compost and mud.
To enter, all you need to do is upload your photos into the F&F community (you will need to register for it), and tag them with the relevant name.
Plant portraits (tag: plantportraits2011)
Whether a close-up or a long-shot, photos in this category will focus on plants, trees and shrubs which are primarily ornamental. Just add the tag ‘plantportraits2011‘ when you upload your images to the F&F community.
Pick of the munch (tag: pickofthemunch2011)
If you are growing some particularly beautiful fruit or vegetables this year, or have taken an incredible shot of your runner beans reaching for the sky, we want to see your photos. Just add the tag ‘pickofthemunch2011‘ when you upload your images to the F&F community.
Wild thing (tag: wildthing2011)
Gardens rise and fall according to their wildlife. You might find a particularly curious slug lurking in your compost heap, or you might scoop a shot of a woodpecker feasting in one of your trees. Let your imagination run wild. just add the tag ‘wildthing2011‘ when you upload your images to the F&F community.
Garden shots (tag: gardenshots2011) The winner of this category will have taken a stunning photo of a large part of a garden. No close-up shots allowed. For some ideas, have a glance over our featured gardens. Just add the tag ‘gardenshots2011‘ to your images when you upload them to the F&F community.
Young photographers (tag: young2011)
Open to any photographers under 18 years old. Photos can be from any of the above categories. Just add the tag ‘young2011‘ when you upload your images to the F&F community.
