As you know, over the past few months I have been working rather hard to create a cool balcony oasis in my new flat. When I started planning, I decided that the worst thing I could do would be to fill the balcony with lots of nasty mis-matching plastic pots. I wanted wood and stainless steel buckets, not nasty fake terracotta pots.
I came across the Plant-a-Box website shortly after moving in, and decided to order one of their personalised apple crates, with Fennel and Fern emblazoned across the front.
I have planted this crate up with micro-leaves to garnish winter dishes with. The box comes with its own set of summer salad seeds, but I wanted to use it before the spring. It also comes with quite a nifty liner, which means the wood will last longer than if I filled it with soil straight away.
And it has the name of the blog on it, which makes the crate super-cool.
