Fennel & Fern is all about gardening in a stylish and sustainable manner. Normally, we don’t preach at our readers about how to be sustainable, but instead make sustainable gardening the core of our work, showing how it works in practice.
But for this second series of Become a Better Gardener, we’re going to be teaching you how to become a more biodiverse gardener, welcoming wildlife to your garden and kicking out damaging horticultural practices and products. We’re going to stretch gardeners who already see themselves as ‘green’ to take new challenges and change their ways for the better. It’s an intensive course, packed with information, tasks and tips. And of course it’s free to join.
How to join
This series will run over seven days, starting on 20 February. You can check the blog every day at 2pm for a new post, or you can subscribe to our daily Better Gardener course of emails (this email course only lasts 7 days and we won’t email you in between the close of the course and the start of the next one).
Feedback
We asked those who took our last course on improving your garden soil for feedback. Here are the results:
83% of those surveyed rated the course “good” or “excellent”, with 67% of those surveyed rating it “excellent”.
100% said they learned something new.
100% wanted to take the next Better Gardener challenge.
Here are some of the comments we received:
“I have the worst soil (very clay heavy, but also dry) and my gardening suffers as a result. I need to do something to ensure I get a better crop of veg next year and the soil challenge has really given me lots to work on. Thanks!”
“A good masterclass in composting – thank you.”
Sign up now: we look forward to you joining us from 20 February.
