Fennel & Fern 2010 calendar

Here, by popular demand, is the Fennel & Fern 2010 calendar. I’ve worked hard on this calendar. It’s partly because I wanted to make a trendy gardening calendar that I would be proud to hang in my kitchen or bathroom. There are no trugs, no potting sheds, and no middle-aged men clutching spades here.

But the main reason I decided to put a calendar together was that I wanted to make a difference. Maybe to gardening, but more importantly to a group of children who deserve the proceeds of this product far more than I do. If you’ve never heard of the Esuubi Trust and the amazing work it does with Ugandan orphans, you need to head over to their website right away. But in case you’re lazy, the Trust supports two orphanages, one of which it is in the process of building. Before Esuubi came along, a lot of these children could not afford to go to school, were sharing beds with three other children, and had no mosquito nets (in a malaria zone). I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty certain these children need this money more than I need new seeds for my garden.

So all the money raised from this calendar will go straight to the Esuubi Trust. And if you’re doing your Christmas shopping, they’ve got a great alternative gifts site (we used this for our wedding and it worked a treat) where you can buy gifts that will never be forgotten.

To have a look through the calendar, just head over to the Zazzle site.
