Trouser planters

Don’t chuck your old clothes away once they’ve worn out or no longer fit: turn them into planters for your flowers and vegetables.

F&F reader Clare Silver emailed this picture in of pairs of jeans now serving as stylish and raffish planters at the Naked Tea and Coffee Co. in Brighton. Take a close look at the picture: the trousers are hung from the railings using a belt.

    I love this, makes an unusual planter our of something that would otherwise have been thrown out. Great recycling!

    These are great - very unique! I’d love to know how they were made - were they lined with anything to stop the denim degrading?
