Beautiful balcony bunting

The balcony was already pretty cool. But now it’s got weatherproof bunting on it, it’s super cool and cheery.

It’s very difficult to stay miserable when there’s bunting around. Those cheery little flags make you think ‘yes, there’s plenty to party about’, which is why I decided to hang some from my balcony. This is bunting from Oily Rag, so it’s weatherproof, rather than the fabric bunting that you have to remember to bring in when the weather turns nasty, and that then fades and goes all sad when you forget to do just that.

It also matches my lovely cushions from the same place.

And so here we are, with a lovely bunting-clad balcony, greeting everyone who walks past on their way to work, or running late on the school run, or looking out of their window. My neighbours have given up any hope of having someone normal living nearby, but it does bring a smile (if often a rather bemused one) to the face of anyone who sees this bizarre balcony. And that’s good enough for me.
