HomeblogPotting up rooted cuttings Remember those philodendron cuttings that I was trialling in my new Hydropod Cuttings Propagator from Greenhouse Sensation? Well, they’re ready to pot up now, with some very good-looking roots indeed. The key now is to keep these little things moist, as they were in the propagator. But I’m hugely impressed by the Hydropod. The test now is to take cuttings from the same plants and start them out in pots and see whether we get the same rate of rooting as I’ve seen in this propagator. I lost two out of the 12 cuttings that I trialled. Greenhouse Sensation say the spraying and feeding that this propagator does for you means a high survival rate. We’ll see whether that’s true with the batch I’m going to pot up. But so far, so impressed. Share this:Share 2 Responses Hannah February 28, 2014 I’ll be interested to see how these cuttings develop! Question at what point does one tip out the water and replace it??? do you have to replace after each set of cuttings? Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply Your email address will not be published.
