Every year I change my mind about what sort of tulips I want. Just as well that now I’ve got an allotment, I can grow as many of them as I like.
These are from a shop. But they do remind me that there is something wonderful about a sweetbox mix of tulip flowers. Some years I want bright and gaudy, and others I want graceful. I’m going to devote a much bigger bed at the allotment this year to cut flowers, and so in November I plan to plant long rows of all types of tulips, just so I can fill my house with gaudy, graceful, and groups of both.
Tulips have got to be one of my favourite flowers - so bright and cheerful!
