HomeblogLoganberries Loganberries are a tart hybrid plant. I love loganberries, and have always tried terribly hard to make sure Iâm growing one wherever I live. Iâve moved this loganberry down from the allotment to my garden, and itâs just starting to produce fruit. This is the best year weâve had from this plant: it has dozens of tart berries on it. Loganberries are a hybrid between a blackberry called ‘Aughinbaughâ and a raspberry. They grow more like a blackberry, fruiting on year-old canes which need trimming back after fruiting. Iâm growing this one against one of the tall wooden walls that terrace my hilly garden. I tend to sprinkle fish, blood and bone on them in the spring, and mulch with well-rotted manure. But other than that, theyâre well-behaved berries that jolly well get on with it. Share this:Share Leave a Reply Cancel Reply Your email address will not be published.
