HomeblogNo-sugar banana berry bars These cereal bars are about as healthy a snack as you can get. I like to nibble away at something around 11am, given I eat breakfast at 6am. But I don’t really want to eat biscuits, and sometimes I want something a bit chunkier than fruit. This is my healthy recipe (which also uses up eggs, if you’re a chicken keeper) for sugarless yet sweet and tasty cereal bars. Print No-sugar banana berry bars Author: Fennel & Fern Recipe type: Snack Cuisine: British Prep time: 5 mins Cook time: 20 mins Total time: 25 mins Serves: 8 Sugar-free cereal bars with fruit Ingredients 1 banana 4 eggs A quantity of porridge oats 1 tsp cinnamon 2 cups berries Directions Blend the banana and the four eggs together with the cinnamon. Add in the porridge oats gradually, and stir until the mixture is thick and tough but there aren't so many porridge oats that it is starting to crumble and fall apart. Stir in the berries, saving a few for the end. Spread the mixture out on a lightly-greased baking tray so that it is around an inch thick, and then press in the remaining berries to make the tops look pretty. Place in the oven at 200 degrees for 20 minutes until golden brown. These are best stored in the fridge if you're keeping them for more than a couple of days. 3.2.1311 Share this:Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)MoreClick to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to email this to a friend (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window) Leave a Reply Cancel reply
