HomeblogRudbeckia ‘Goldstrum’ A gorgeous bright yellow rudbeckia that works hard to earn its keep in the garden. I like a plant that works hard for its place in a border. Rudbeckia ‘Goldstrum’ does just that. It flowers for a really good long time - until the first frosts and beyond, really, and it gets going in late summer when other plants are looking a bit tatty. And it is bright, bright yellow, so you can see it from a good distance, which is super-handy. Here it is, looking beautiful at the base of some verbena: I got these Rudbeckia perennial plants from Plant Me Now. I found that they did need a little bit of protection from the battalion of slugs and snails in this new garden, so I scattered crushed garlic around them and they grew very well indeed.
