A lovely fir tree makes F&F’s first Christmas beautiful and festive. This is my first ever Christmas tree since leaving home. This is the first proper home I’ve lived in since I was 18, one where I’ve felt as though I could live here forever and where I welcome friends and family. So a nice big Christmas tree only seemed right. This absolutely beautiful Nordman Fir arrived last week, wrapped up and smelling beautifully of forest. It is a non-drop tree from Pines and Needles, and came with a reservoir base, which is quite handy given I’ve got my tree up so early. I do want it to be green on Christmas Day, after all. They also sent some LED lights for me to review as well. Decorating your Christmas tree is such a ritual, such a lovely emotional moment when you remember every year of hanging baubles and toys on the tree, from those years when you were so small that you could only reach a few branches up, to the years when you’re chuckling at the absurd handmade decorations that could be anything that your parents have kept because they love you. And then you end up with a lovely tree that reminds you of all those lovely years and how much you’ve grown that it’s time to have a tree of your own. And now it feels a lot like Christmas, and my home feels a lot like home. F&F was kindly sent this tree to review.
