HomeblogScotch bonnet chillies Scotch bonnet chillies are hot - even in the depths of winter. These are chilly chillies. Thatâs because, believe it or not, I harvested them this week. Theyâve been slowly ripening on the plants in my cold frame, and given I fancied making some more apple and chilli jelly this week, it seemed a good time to pick most of them. The fabulously-shaped red and green ones are, of course, not chilly at all. Theyâre very hot indeed. Theyâre Scotch bonnet chillies, which are some of the strongest ones out there. You donât need much of one of these fruits to feel your cooking heating up very quickly indeed.
