A regular update on the progress of our dream garden project. From now on, it’s a case of pedalling furiously to catch up with the dream garden. 27 April 2015 Follow the progress of the Dream Garden from start to finish here. Everything is growing like the clappers. Behold, the vegetable patch! The chard is out of its polytunnel and is huge. The garlic is looking fab. The peas are sprouting up their sticks, the beetroot is germinating, the spring-sprouting broccoli is lush in leaf and the rhubarb is, well, huge. But really, what I’m proudest of is my herbaceous border. The tulips are in flower, but the foliage is working hard too: rich wine-red peony shoots, silver artichokes, fluffy fennel and golden dogwood. There is so much that I love about the garden at this time of the year. The blossom, the shoots, the freshness, the scent. Life at this time of year is awesome. 27 April critique More flowers needed, everywhere! Keep those ideas on how to improve the dream garden coming: I take all of them on board (even the ones I then decide to disagree with). And tweet @fennelandfern with pictures from your own gardens too. I’ll add them below. a#view of my #water#savvy#garden.@fennelandfern pic.twitter.com/8XL513MH1T — mohammedarifsheikh (@mohammedarifshk) April 27, 2015 @fennelandfern pic.twitter.com/KWrDwqQpTv — Claire Spiller (@GardenandWild) April 26, 2015 @fennelandfern pic.twitter.com/mnbnVvwssS — Bella (@designerflora) April 26, 2015 @fennelandfern some of my air plants. pic.twitter.com/IM8kKnSApu — mohammedarifsheikh (@mohammedarifshk) April 26, 2015 Share this:Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)MoreClick to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on StumbleUpon (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to email this to a friend (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window) Leave a Reply Cancel reply
