HomeAllotmentsAllotment featuredRob’s allotment Rob isn’t just an allotmenteer. He’s a winner. He won the Big Allotment Challenge in 2015, and looking at his own plot, you can see why. He has been growing on this site just outside Sheffield for almost 10 years, and intriguingly, his favourite crop is onions. ‘Who doesn’t use an onion every day?’ he asks, listing varieties including super-sweet ‘Walla Walla’, ‘Welsh bunching’ and several heritage crops such as ‘Borettana’. This guy knows his onions. You can follow Rob @RobsAllotment and his blog is here. This profile is part of F&F’s series for National Allotments Week.
