Vera’s allotment

Vera’s allotment is in the Netherlands and she has had it for three years, moving there after the lease expired on a site she’d gardened for seven years.

This really is a beautiful plot, with greens, fruits, pods and herbs - and edible flowers.

She also grows unusual berries. These may look like raspberries…

…but they’re actually the Japanese bramble, Rubus parvifolius.
