It involves gin and is part of our new series on booze from the garden. There are many, many more uses for the stuff that you grow than just plonking it on a plate and eating it. That might be quite fun, but what if you also saw your garden as a bar, supplying ingredients for ultra-stylish cocktails? F&F is going to take you on a booze cruise through herbs, fruits and flowers that make the most incredible cocktails. Hold on tight. We’ve already blogged about how amazing gooseberry and elderflower are together. That was all about an afternoon spent eating a lovely tangy cake. This recipe is for the evening, when you’ve spruced yourself up and trying to impress some friends. Ingredients 100ml gin 50ml elderflower cordial Crushed ice 2 tbsp stewed gooseberries, chilled Throw the ingredients together into a cocktail shaker and shake until well-mixed and the ice has broken up. Then pour into a cocktail glass and garnish with flowers.
