A regular peek at the wild flowers we’ve found during the week.
The frosts have come, but the flowers haven’t gone. What a great #wildflowerhour it has been tonight! Before we get to the round-up, here are some special mentions.
The first goes to @beaubellebotany, who took dedication to the cause to a new level this week, standing in a bog to photograph this spot:

And thank you to another prolific tweeter for the kind words:
Wild flower hour was an experiment to see how many wild flower lovers there were out there on Twitter: and to see what was blooming elsewhere. I think it’s safe to say that it has been a roaring success in just a few months. Of course, we will see fewer flowers over the next few months. But I now feel confident that every Sunday night at 8pm, there will be a good group of us swapping finds and tips. And that’s great.
Now here are the highlights:
Wild Flower Hour takes place every Sunday at 8pm on twitter and Instagram. Just add #wildflowerhour to your tweets of photos of flowers you’ve found at any time during the week or weekend, and do join the conversation at 8pm on Sunday so that wild flower enthusiasts can find one another and learn more about our amazing native flora.
