Cowslips, or Primula veris, look incredible en masse. I found this meadow on a walk the other week. It has millions and millions of cowslips growing all over it. Cowslips were seen as rare when I was growing up, but this field at least suggests that they’re doing ok these days. It’s wonderful to see so many of them thriving. I’ve got a few growing in my garden and last year I collected their seed to try and grow some more. I’ve now got a few more, but it’s going to take me a while to emulate this meadow!
